The beach itself is beautiful, however the parking is a nightmare. I have now been charged plus 100 for not being able to get the app to work on my phone quick enough after my first ticket (which I paid by cash) had ran out. The charge is for the time it took for me to put the app on my phone and purchase more parking. I was not trying to avoid paying, I literally couldn't get it to work, the signal was so bad. The guy at the council said that the parking company are aware of the difficulty in phone signal and that they seem to be being using it to their advantage. He also said how badly it was affecting the local tourism but it was out of their hands. If you want to appeal you will get charged an extra 40 for the privilege and when they finally decide that it's just tough luck, neither the link they give you to seek further advice or the link to pay will work so no doubt they will forward my fine to a debt collector, racking up further fees, while conveniently not responding to my emails asking for help on what to do. Due to my health conditions, I had had to shield because of Covid and had not left the house for months. This was our first (and to date, our last) outing since the pandemic started. Just a few hours out has turned into a nightmare. I will not visit again.

Avoid parking here like the plague. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid !!!!!!!! How this is a BPA approved car park i don't know. They have pay and display and a automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) camera going on at the same time but they aren't synced and you'll end up getting a 100 parking fine 100% of the time.
Nice beach in Newquay. Great for surfing, sunbathing and ample parking nearby. Not far off the city centre. It gets really busy during the summer season when the holidaymakers arrive...however it definitely worths the visit for anyone and relax with the waves sound
So easy to park and pay. Use the app or cash/card at the machine. Extra time can be added via the app or at the machine.
Right on the beach, but expensive. Well maintained and safe car park.
