From start to finish we had a lovely stay. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodated us brilliantly. The views from the sea view rooms were great, you could not open the windows fully to get that sea breeze in as they are made to not let you open them far. The cleaning in the room was fine, we had no issues and found nothing dirty or stained as other have found. As some other reviews have stated, the interior could do with abit of love but it is not terrible and is fine for the price you will be paying. The pool was fine when were were there even with the current covid restrictions. The bar and restaurant were not open when we visited due to covid but the breakfast was fine and handled well by the staff. If you need a place to stay in Newquay and are not looking to be treated like the Queen then I would recommend.

Just stayed here for one week. On arrival we struggled to find a parking space at the hotel. The reception informed me there was another car park around the corner. The hotel looks very grand from the outside but unfortunately this is not the case when you get inside. The carpets and decor very worn and out dated. Rooms are tired with marked furniture and stained carpets and net curtain. Breakfast was very disappointing even though there was variety the portions were very small. Saying all that the staff were very friendly and helpful including the cleaners. The hotel needs money spending on it for the price you pay. However you can’t help but love the place.i would stay again.

Difficult to rate. To many people it would appear that it's a bit dated. However, very clean rooms, comfortable bed, large modern shower cubicle in our room with plenty of hot water. Excellent breakfast, lots of choice including full English, cereals toast and pastries. Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoying our stay.

Great rooms & an amazing view, the pool is great. The current situation makes it harder to review due to restrictions etc. Would have given 5 stars but the lift was broken during our visit & the cost for breakfast is very overpriced. We went out for breakfast as cheaper. Would still recommend this hotel though as in a great location.

A traditional Victorian hotel with some lovely features and superb sea views. When the weather is good there is a garden to appreciate the Cornish coastline. The rooms are a little dated, hence the drop of the star, The Breakfast was great with a good choice and selection. A lovely relaxing stay.
