Power showers, heated toilet seats, concierge that speaks fluent Italian, French, Spanish and Chinese. If I had to choose between here and the Ritz Carlton I would be hard pressed. One slightly negative note was that my complimentary foot massage only lasted for 25 minutes rather than the advertised 30 minutes. Thanks for all the happy memories

I went here when I was 18 and was quite impressed with the place. First holiday away with friends, great weather and atmosphere as there were 14 of us. Caravan's were fine, quite tidy and considering what we paid we were delighted! NOW, fast forward 6 years - I am 24 and 14 of us decided to revisit Smuggler's Haven for the bank holiday weekend, it was cheap again, an absolute bargain in fact. HOWEVER, the caravans had not changed since the last time we were there but were in a far greater state of decay, rubbish and pubes and all sorts everywhere. Nothing worked, showers were cold, everything was dirty or otherwise a hazard. It was so bad that we left one day early so that we didn't have to remain there for another night. The caravans felt as if they were on their very last legs, everything in tatters. I'm 100% certain that I will NOT be returning in another 6 years when I am 30! BUUUUUTTTT it is very cheap, just take a tent instead. NB: The bar is overpriced and crap too!

Kept awake most of the night due to other people playing loud music at 4am and charged twice for my stay. They have no record of me paying twice so refuse to refund me. Avoid!

We expected the place to be a dump. We had read reviews and had expected the worse. Our biggest issue we had was our deposit. Smugglers retained about 70% of it, citing we had damaged the caravans- even though the caravans were in a uninhabitable state when we arrived. We took smugglers to small claims court and won our full deposit back. They didnt have a leg to stand on. On the whole, the holiday was great. But the agro caused by the issues with the deposit will make me and my party never visit the site again.

ABOSOLUTE SHI***LE.. I WOULDNT EVEN GIVE IT 1 STAR BUT YOU GOT TO... They don't care about you as a customer they just want your money! Me and four mates went and stayed there a couple weeks ago and OMG it might of been cheap but what a state the caravan was... There was odd panels dotted about everywhere for where they had repaired damage from other persons that had fu*k*d the place rite up and i am a qualified maintenance man and the workmanship is diabolical.. I think a chimp wearing a blindfold could of done a better job fixing the place up.. Furthermore I have been back a month now and they are coming up with excuse after excuse to not pay me back my SECURITY DEPOSIT WHICH SHOULD TAKE UP TO 10DAYS!! And there excuse this week is a problem with the financial department and apparently as soon as the problems sorted they will transfer my money straight away.. I doubt there even has been one problem with their computers or nothing I think the company just don't want to give your money back.. So to conclude i will say DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE AND A BIG STRESS ADDED TO YOUR LIFE.. My advice to people thinking about staying here is just bite the bullet, spend a little more on a hotel and have a happy holiday rather than a holiday from hell...

Overall... THE SH**EST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED... the website suggests that the images used for the caravans are used for representation purposes... and i am telling anyone willing to sleep on porth, fistral or perranporth beach in a cardboard box would be better off than staying here! THE SITE AND ACCOMODATION would struggle to meet 'high' standards in an Iraq war zone... infact I think after a week at smugglers id rather have stayed in Iraq... anyone wanting pictures to sway their decision to stay here is welcome to them because the ones used on the website are from somewhere completely different. DO NOT STAY HERE... CAMP!

Good laugh for an 18 30s where the main objective is to get drunk and socialise, wouldn't recommend for a quiet weekends camping
