We went to The Mermaid as my husband worked there in the summer of 1966, glass collecting. A few changes over the years. The hostess and staff were welcoming and fun, remember fun! Food was excellent, just plain pub food, but good. Vegan option too. It was Halloween and the young man in the party, was given a packet of spooky sweets. He was chuffed. All round fab experience, with a great view of the beach.

Really nice place on the beach it self. They served really good fish n chips. Beautiful to enjoy a meal with a beautiful view even when the weather wasn't that great. In a good sunny day it would feel only more positive. Big bonus they are dog friendly. Was a bit pricey but that's what you would expect near sea.
Fantastic location, lovely staff, we went on steak night for my birthday... Quick service but weirdly no steak sauces on offer.. even on a steak night? but steak was tasty even though a little over done for a medium rare.. no blood juices, but over all would definitely revisit. Needs a tidy up outside and the ladies loos need to be checked more often for cleanliness...
Food is absolutely amazing! Brilliant location! Eat inside or outside. Then enjoy a nice stroll along the beach
Stunning location to watch the sunset. Great food, generous portions and great drinks. Unfortunately you need to avoid The Mermaid pizza place on the side. Absolute rip off, 12 for a pizza fit for a toddlers snack.
