Before the new "masks when not seated" rule, this place was great. The drinks were great, including the ale quality. After the mask rule we went in and were seated, and it took us 40 minutes to be served two pints. The staff were understandably stressed, but they would shoot off like they had a pair of rocket shoes and turning their back on you as soon as possible to ignore your order. At another point my friend and I ordered food and we asked for some ketchup. The man brought enough to feed a couple of mice. Two packets for two people in what World are you living. We asked again, this time for some ketchup and salt. He said no worries etc (very polite) and once again, lo and behold, two packets for two people. After our pint we noticed some other people asked a different man for it and he knows. Brought em at least 4/6. I'd be absolutely chuffed with that. Would be 3 stars but the nice barman with the beard was very nice/funny amidst the chaos of the first day, so I'll add one for him. Thanks for a funny holiday Town Blister.

A fairly standard ‘spoons as far as drinks are concerned, but hard to consider it much of a restaurant. Took 40 minutes for two pizzas and a garlic bread to arrive, only for the garlic bread to be charred beyond recognition and nothing like the menu suggested - rosemary? mozzarella? Even the pizzas were slightly burnt but not bad enough to warrant replacing. Waitress was lovely and more than happy to replace it, but the replacement took another 20 minutes to arrive. Lovely Wetherspoons as far as drinks and atmosphere is concerned, but the chef needs to find a little more pride in the food he sends out of his kitchen.

Came here a few times in 2019 food reasonable prices , cleanliness was good and beer prices were cheap.

The last time I was there it was nice but today 18/10/2020 It went really wrong, I cam there and I didn't get served, I asked the waiter to served me but he came just when I had the menu, I asked him for a few minutes to give me some time to think about the meal and he never came back, after 25 minutes I decided to leave. Sorry but you deserve this bad review, the next time when I come if the service is better I will change my review. Have a lovely evening.

Food is poor and portion seems inconsistent. Chips are generally too small. I always have an issue with something. Either peas are luke warm or inedible chips are too small/luke warm and noone visits the table to check if everything is OK. So poor food, poor service compared to other wetherspoons and probably more expensive than any other wetherspoons I have been to by a lot.

If you are looking for a place to eat good food: RUN AWAY! The food is clearly frozen, nothing is fresh. The portion size is ok but it’s just not worth it. With so many nice places around I would really not recommend this one to anyone. Really a matter of food quality and taste, nothing against the staff who were pretty nice.

I was forced to download the app to order food, even though I was told someone would come and take my order. Food wasn't that good, only ate it because we were hungry. Staff member argued that I didn't order extra cheese, until I showed her my order confirmation on the app. She then changed tack, and said the put it on the wrong jacket potato. Only good thing was they are still doing the 50% eat out offer.

Drinks took at least 30 minutes and food took 45 minutes to come. The food was awful. Most of it was either cold or cooked to death. There was one staff member waiting at the door to seat people but he spent more time doing other jobs. So people were just walking in without sanitising their hands or giving contact details. No condiments were available. No steaks or pizza were available. I've been to wetherspoons across England but this has put me off permanently
