Great location. Ideal for gentle walks or the start of a bigger hike or mountain bike ride. Also used by horse riders. Usually quite quiet, but when good weather coincides with a weekend the car park can get rammed and folk will double park all over the place. Reverse in to your space as there's a good chance there won't be space to turn around in the car park, when you get back!

I only did the lower walk along the river very nice, parking was free no toilets or other amenities and didn't see any rules about camping or fires

Very small but free car park just before the pack horse bridge, also known as drakeford bridge. It enables you to park up before walking the river Bovey and woods.
