Absolutely delighted, I had to do research on local care homes and shortlisted Sumerforde for my elderly mother, the care and attention that Jon and Jules have put into making it feel home from home is remarkable, now that we've had a few weeks experience we are delighted... highly recommended, but please visit for yourself first.

Although Somerforde had read my dad's care plan, which stated that he had wandered into town in the middle of the night looking for my dead mother, they allowed him to go out into the cold night as the door was unattended on his first night. This resulted in a police and helicopter search for many distressing hours. Staff are very young (the home he's in now has a good mix of young and more experienced). Look beyond the nice park views! In addition, they charged us a hefty fee for the stay!
