Well it's been many many years since I've been in here. I grew up in the village and am still a local. I drive past almost every day and don't give it a second glance. After a walk on the moors we decided to drop in for breakfast. It was excellent... clean, spacious, efficient staff and the food came out very quickly. All the dishes we had were excellent particularly the Dartmoor Breakfast Plate and the Avocado and Poached Eggs. Gluten free options also available. Highly recommend the place. Looks like it will be a regular spot for winter breakfasts!

Great food in lovely setting. Hubby had pasty and salad, and i had the goat cheese salad. We came back later in the afternoon for wonderful scone, cream and jam. Will visit again. Very polite staff. Quick service. We sat outside.

Cream teas are excellent as are the staff and the location. Perhaps more importantly, the covid 19 provisions are seamless. The team have really worked out a superb system for coping. From one use pens to a comprehensive clean down of each table, menu and even the card machine. Full marks to the most \covid aware\ premises we have visited and a big thank you. A lesson for others to learn.

Heavy storms caused our tent trip to take a turn for the worst. We hiked back to the car and drove. Stumbled in on cafe on the green to welcoming staff and one of the best burgers I’ve had in ages and a fantastic latte to warm us up. Go there
