A lovely old pub situated in Ipplepen. We met friends for lunch and elected to eat inside, rather than in the lovely garden next to the car park at the rear. The dining areas are lovely, with panelled walls, and lots of space. The menu is expansive and the service is friendly and efficient. A buffet is in use over the weekend. A lovely hostelry, well worth the visit.

Had a really nice meal here. The menu online didn't include any veggie options, but I'm glad we called because they have several vegetarian specials. I was very impressed by the covid social distancing measures. Reasonably priced with a nice atmosphere, and dog friendly which is a bonus!

Renting a cottage up the road came to this Lovely pub twice for food. Young staff very nice however the manager with dark hair could do with some lessons On how to be with customers and greeting them. She is Very abrupt and does not smile I feel she is think she is in the wrong job as not very friendly, However on a good note food is so lovely for pub food The chief is so good we go to 5 Star restaurants with top name chef’s and some of them the food is not as good and as tasty. The chief food and Young staff are what brings customers back . After lock down you would think the management would want to build up a reparations again .

Expensive, but you very much get what you pay for. The food is exceptionally good and huge portions. The staff are always happy, welcoming and polite.
