I was disappointed in the amount of plastic used in packaging, also the size of the plants for the cost. On a brighter note they arrived in good order , please look into cardboard or more sustainable pots and packaging, I am sure that being part of the Austin family this will already be in hand. I will buy from Claire again and hopefully this will be resolved New post. I WOULD LIKE TO RIGHT A WRONG. I was too hasty with my rant, It has been a while since buying some plants from Claire Austin, they are doing very well, after unpacking them I saw that they all had a very strong roots and were properly grown, they have done so well we went to her plant shop in Newtown and bought more which are also doing well, she has a very good selection, I definitely Will buy again.

I ordered catananche alba and geum totally tangerine on 2nd May. 4 weeks later I emailed the firm as I hadn't received my order. I got no reply. I followed up with a phone call two days later but could only leave a voicemail message. No one got back to me. Finally I managed to speak to someone today, to be told they couldn't source the catananche, and did I want the geum sending. The very least they should have done was to inform me they couldn't supply one part of my order instead of leaving me without any plants and unaware of what the problem was. The person I spoke to didn't even offer an apology. I think this is very poor (virtually non-existent) customer service, and I will not be using the firm again.
