Stayed at Red Kite Lodge for a week. This place is amazing, the hosts, Kev and Julie really make you feel welcome, such attention to detail, and some lovely personal touches. Woodburner and hot tub are just part of the essential items there. Views are amazing and the local pub is very relaxed. There's plenty of amazing places just a short drive away too. Can't wait to go back again.

What a beautiful place this is. A small family run business centrally located in Mid Wales. Peace and quiet abound in the stunning Welsh countryside. There are two very well appointed lodges here Red Kite and Dragon Lodge, both with spectacular views over lakes, open fields and rolling hills. Both have large decked verandahs complete with loungers, chairs, table and beautiful private hot tub. The lodges are of solid wood construction and very well furnished with quality comfy beds etc. No expense has been spared everything inside the lodges are top quality. Obviously these lodges are a labour of love for the family who own them. Kev, Julie, Josh and Gemma are all very much involved in making your stay as nice as possible. The delicious cake left on the table on arrival. Fresh bread, milk, tea, coffee and sugar were all ready for us when we arrived. There were so many little extra touches that I couldn't list them all. I can honestly say that it's one of the nicest places I've stayed and we as a family have stayed in many lodges. This place is far enough away from the hustle of busy towns to really chill out but close enough to get your shopping at the nearest town Newtown some 20mins away. We even had our shopping delivered from the local Tesco so we could just relax once we arrived. Beautiful modern lodges with stunning scenery. Everything you would need and the hosts definitely go above and beyond. Definitely highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Brand new lodges and really well equipped. Great and enjoyable stay. Hot tub is superb.
This was the most well appointed self catering accommodation we have stayed in. Dragon Lodge is beautiful with a kitchen with everything you need and a spacious and comfy living area. The decking is roomy with a fab hot tub which was ready for our arrival. The views from the decking and tub look out to a beautiful wee corner of Wales. We loved our stay. 6 of us stayed here for a week over the New Year and we couldn't have hoped for a better lodge. It was well-equipped, spacious, peaceful and the covered hot tub outside is a showstopper - whatever the weather! Kev and Julie were very friendly and the information they provided helped us get the most out of our stay. Newtown was easily accessible by car whenever we needed to stock up and the Bull & Heifer pub in Bettws Cedewain was only a short walk away. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and we enjoyed going on day trips, especially to Snowdonia National Park. We will be back - thank you!
