Just had a massive refurbishment. Have to say it's now the nicest pub in Newtown. Well worth a visit !

I have had some great Saturday afternoon’s in the Monty, been going there for many years when we are down from Liverpool at our friends Mike/Cathy and Lynda/Dons caravans, staff great always have a laugh with Mia, when we see her, Happy Times more to come I hope

Disappointed. Told to move off the 'carpet' with my pint as i may get the dancefloor wet. Why put laminate flooring down (for a dancefloor) in a pub. Gutted as we were really enjoying ourselves. Really nice place but fully of golden oldies with not mental state of change. You want to keep a business growing then you understand the need to modernize as business changes over the decades or you go under.

Been there before with friends for Christmas meal and was good. This year however was pretty disappointed with the meal. No pudding, only Quality Street!? For 15 that was quite a rip off. Given three stars just for last year. Next year no chance, no going there again...
