bought my Kia Sportage last May-2019. Firstly I have to say that the service in general has been poor from the start until now. When I picked my car up in May despite being told it had been valeted, it had not and had to be booked in again to have this done. I did receive a bunch of flowers as an apology which was and still is greatly appreciated. I then found out that the car needed to be serviced only 4 months after purchase, I have never got a new car before from a dealership that had not been serviced prior to sale and to have only purchased the car, the need to get this done was extremely disappointing. I then needed to book my car in to have the gear box replaced in Feb 2020 and at this visit I explained that the clutch was starting to shudder as well as gearbox issues however was told there was no issues with the clutch and at this stage was not informed that the clutch was not covered under warranty. Today I then had my car booked in to get looked at as the clutch continued to play up and get worse. I was informed that the clutch needed replaced and that it was not covered under warranty. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. I feel that the level of service has been absent altogether and I feel that my car was not looked at at all prior to sale or these issues would have been dealt with. When I bought the car, Paul was a great salesman and I have nothing bad to say about him. However I do have to say that I cannot write a good review for the service I have received and that I will not be recommending Downey's Kia to any of my family or friends due to the above issues.
