Great place to take children to get up close and personal with ducks and other water fowl. Small bags of bird seed available in the shop, so you can feed them. Situated on an old brick making site on the shore of Strangford Lough , you get to learn the history of the place, which is very interesting, and see some of what's left of the buildings. There is a small woodland play area for the kids at the end of the walk through and a shop with a cafe.

Great place to visit for young and old. A wide variety of ducks to hand feed, some history, conservation and nature trails. Fairly covid secure. Gift shop is pretty basic and limited.

Lovely place to visit for all and especially for children of all ages. Worth visiting. We only had a short time, you really need a half or full day and repeat visits. What's there - includes wild fowl, insects, animals, play areas, walks, hides, woods and secret swamp... Information - excellent, site map, boards around the site, including identifying the wildlife. Books and leaflets in the Visitor Centre. Fixed binoculars in some places. Accessibility - good, mainly wide paths (see photo's) and accessible toilets in Visitors Centre and in different locations around the site. Admission - see their site and the attached photo (2018). Carpark (free) - plenty of places, including places for the Disabled. Cafe, good choice and staff are friendly and very helpful Staff, very friendly and very helpful. Toilets - in the Visitors Centre and various points around the site and accessible for all. Visitors Centre - Tickets, Shop, Cafe, Toilets and Information.

Love this place. If you just want coffee or a meal the cafe is good with fabulous views over Strangford Lough. The staff are always friendly and helpful and it has good access for disabled. You have to pay to get in to see all the ducks and bird life. But the grounds are large and there are great areas for the kids to explore and play in. Any time of the year is a good time to visit.

We had a lovely time here last week. Thankfully the weather let us enjoy an early afternoon of geese watching and walking round the well kept paths and parts of woodland. My daughter enjoyed your little sensory garden and its smells of honeysuckle and lavender! There was thyme there as well if I remember rightly. Can't wait to go back..
