Good spot to launch your small boat or rent one. The water isn't the cleanest and a bit smaller but it is a fun lake to kayak around especially if you do the loop thru the back part. Great spot to take some fall photos too!

Ice fishing on Laurel Lake! Super fun. Ranger staff was knowledgeable and responsive to inquires.

Laurel Lake is a nice little get away from life. It's fairly secluded and gives a good respite from the hustle and bustle of the day to day life. The lake itself is constantly spring fed and so provides a cool water relief from the hot summer sun. There are walking/biking trails around the area that seem nice though I've not really had an opportunity to explore them. Also, picnic tables, pavilions, and charcoal grills in the shade are a good option for making a long day of it. I highly recommend it, but....not too many of you. I want to keep it not so crowded for my own enjoyment ;)
