Found this jewel on our drive from Adelaide to Melbourne. Looking for a lunch stop and found a winner. First rate staff, food and presentation. Later we found it to be managed by the disability program of a local health services organization. Excellent job!

My husband and I visited Oliver's yesterday. We were travelling from Adelaide to Melbourne and thought we'd stop in Nhill for a quick lunch. Oliver's seemed popular and the menu read well. There was a very long line at the counter to order our meals. We ordered Chicken Parmiagana, Gourmet Vegie Burger and two coffees. The coffees came out quite quickly and were reasonable, although nothing special. Then we waited, and waited and waited. People who had ordered after us had finished their meals and were leaving. Finally a staff-member came and took our empty cups and said "yoos aren't waiting for anything else are ya?". I told her we were still waiting for our meals. She went off to ask about them. Still another long wait. We would have just asked for our money back and left, but we had already wasted so much time and would have had to go somewhere else for lunch, so we kept waiting. The waitresses kept stopping to talk with locals at other tables, which was slowing down the progress of meal delivery. Finally my husbands Chicken Parmiagana came out. It was a small piece of "packet chicken" with some lettuce, carrot and beetroot. No chips! My meal didn't arrive, so I went up to the counter to ask for it. The woman saw me coming and fled to the kitchen. She returned with a pitiful looking plate. It contained a packet vegie burger, between two pieces of bread which had been in the toaster for a few seconds and weren't the slightest bit browned, and a small amount of salad. There were a few cold, greasy chips as well. I asked the whereabouts of my husband's chips, and the woman returned with a bowl, half full of some more cold, greasy chips. We were not offered any water. We ate what we could and left, having wasted an our of our travelling time, and were very disappointed.
Good food, good prices. Ideal spot for lunch or coffee when travelling through Nhill.
Good food, good service with friendly accommodating staff.
Great place for a lunch stop between Melbourne and Adelaide. Range of hot food, fresh sandwiches and great coffee. Visitor centre is directly opposite with public toilets (incl disabled) and playground for the kids to burn off some energy.
Must have got them on a bad day. After reading all the good reviews my family and I stopped here for a coffee break. After standing at the counter for 10 minutes, 4 staff members walking past us and not even saying one word to us we left disappointed. Great town though, very friendly people in the streets.
Great coffee and service. A lovely moment to relax.
Lot's of gluten-free options. A city cafe halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne.
