As comfortable as your own basement. Chris & Ben are two of the most amazing people it has been my pleasure to deal with. From general knowledge of gaming and games systems to a genuine enjoyment of video games and helping their customers find the most enjoyable purchase, if you are looking for older games and systems there is nowhere else I would consider going.

We went down from Toronto to Niagara for the weekend and heard of some great things about "the basement". So we only had enough time to check out one gaming store, and we chose this one. Walking in was refreshing as there were many people in the store which is always nice to see a non corporate store be so popular. We were instantly greeted by the owner (a nice British lad) and he pointed us to all the games they had. Although we probably spent over an hour looking at games and asking multiple questions, he was extremely patient with us and was extremely helpful. By the end of it all, we walked home with three bags full of games for a insanely great deal. We highly recommend "the basement", it has easily become our go to gaming spot although 150km away, and is defiantly made better due to the owners overall treatment to customers. Rating: 100/10
Nothing bad can be said about this establishment. They have tons of old and new games, consoles, controllers etc. I don't have time to go there as much as I would like however I call them anytime I need something, and they always help me out. Even if they don't have something they can order most things in and even tell me where a good place to get it might be. The owners are fantastic and the environment is very relaxed and chill which is what you would like from a place like this.
Just visited their new location today - Wow what a great place. Open, bright and nicely decorated. Great staff and fantastic selection of games at reasonable price. We will be back.
The basement is by far the #1 place to hit for just about every gaming system you can think of. Both Ben and Chris know games and are avid players themselves, so you know any info they give you on a title is coming from actual playtime and not from the net. Prices are the best in the Niagara region and if you happen to buy a few games they most often give a better price or include the taxes. If you haven't been there you need to check it out !
Friendly staff who know a lot about the video games they play and are very accommodating. They were able to get a rare game I requested from their supplier in a matter of days. One of the best local game stories I've been to!
I've known these guys before they moved locations, and honestly, I have to say that Ben and Chris are the nicest people I've met. I traded systems, games, and much more to them and they've given me deals I can't say no to. I would recommend these guys to anyone who's looking for a fair and equal trade for their belongings. By far the best videogame store, puts all others in the dust.
They never answer the phone. If you have questions you have better luck spending 5 hours on google and finding the answer before they answer.
