Schools are schools. Some things are good and some things are not so good. If a child wants to learn, then learning becomes easier. Special Needs children need more patience and understanding. Life isn't easy, especially growing up in today's world! I think that this is a good school. I've seen worse! Two schools that I attended are vacant lots now! Stewart School that was at Glendale and 14th Street and Longfellow Jr. High which was 2 blocks north on 12th Street. Gone.

The teachers and staff do a wonderful job with the students and this beautiful school sits right in Historic Indian Village.
My son went there and the principal at the time & teachers were awesome and always helpful, my son's experience was the best one vs. other DPS schools .... He was relearning the same things at other schools that he was already taught at Nichols a year before, I wish I never removed him he fell behind after leaving and it took a while but I got him back on track working with his teachers. Nichols is the best! A great school
Better education n learning skills
My Mother went to this school when she was younger and now Im going to this school I really like this school the teachers and Principal are nice but some of the students be doing to much but overall its a good school.
