I will be taking any alterations/repairs I have in the future here. The lining in my vintage wool coat was completely trashed and I had a rip on one of the arm seams. He replaced the lining with quality fabric and sewn the rip to perfection. I got a cost before any work began, he explained exactly what he was going to do, and took only a couple days to complete. Very friendly people and very talented. Highly recommend!

Subj: WWII USAAF Leather Bombardier Flight Jacket Repair Ninh Dam totally restored my WWII USAAF Bombardier Flight Jacket to MILSPEC new condition. A major undertaking with challenges, Ninh jumped right in to restore my treasured jacket to be better than what was mass produced during WWII. From a new zipper to a new lining, Ninh skillfully fixed all the wear and tear issues I had with the flight jacket! Replacement of the elastic cuffs and waistband, difficult pieces to work on, were better crafted than the original design. The WWII flight jacket is essentially a new jacket - finished well beyond my expectations! I enthusiastically recommend Ninh to anyone looking to repair their leather jacket or any project requiring stellar results. Ninh will ensure it is better than before you brought it to him! He is a master leather craftsman and his professional knowledge in this artesian business is beyond reproach! His pricing is very reasonable considering how difficult leather work really is - his innate creative abilities will impress you too. This is the only tailor anyone in Grand Rapids area should use. I cannot express how incredibly talented and kind these owners are. I brought them a very difficult alteration- heavily beaded wedding dress with fine lace. The dress needed to be made smaller and shorter and was no easy task. Ninh alterations not only did an incredible job with the fine details, they actually fit the dress to my body. Before starting the alteration they took the time to explain in detail what they would do and how it would look and what the cost would be. I only had two weeks until the wedding when I brought them the dress and he had it done days before the wedding. I can honestly say that there is no one else in GR who can do what this couple did. I will absolutely bring all of my clothes to them from now on. If you have a dress or clothing item you cherish but need altered, bring it here. He takes pride in his work and will not disappoint.

I had to have several suits and dress slacks fitted to me due to being an in between size. I called around to several tailors and everything local was either closed for the holidays or out 2 weeks. I needed these alterations done before that for a business trip. So I called Nina alterations when I found them in Google. They said they could get all of my alterations done within a few days, so I made the drive all the way from the Mount Pleasant area to have the alterations made. They were very helpful and had all the alterations done within 2 days. I am very impresses with thier quality of work and timeliness. I will continue to make the drive for them to tailor my clothes.
