This is a nice little road stop oh, they have a cafe with really good tempura and gyudon. There is a gift store that has all of the souvenirs that you need to bring back for your coworkers and there are also lots of toys for little ones. Nice bathrooms, snacks, just a decent little stop.

It was super busy when we happened to be there that day. The smoke from a bbq counter was choking but looks like the local people were very used to it so just we \tourists\ found the smoke nearly intolerable. Quite a large souvenirs selection with several hot food counters and the usual vending machines. Large car parking area, public toilets were unusually busy and not so clean.

This road station is located at Kitagawa I.C.(北川I.C.). you can exit this I.C. and find this easily. it can be in from both side highway and local road. Breakfast buffet is from 7:00am to 10:00am every day, but very crowded on weekend. From this station, can reach to Takachiho about 1h. I recomend you to take breakfast here and go from Oita side. From Miyazaki side, you need go through Nobeoka junction and back.
