The only good bakery in Norman Park/Coorparoo area. Pie filling be a hot or miss. But the rest of the food is always good.

Very disappointed with the meat pies.. no a single piece of meat on it.. all gelatin and frozen vegies. Their ham and cheese croissants also hardly any cheese or ham.. very unhealthy constituents and a RIP off. They need to get their act together and change this before I go back.. specially for the money..

Friendly staff, but the steak pie did not have much steak in the filling. 90% gelatinous "gravy" and only one small chunk of steak. I had to take it back and then throw it out (no refund offered). The pastry was actually really good, so if they can improve the filling, I'll come back.

The pie had no meat in it, the mini sausage roll was really hard and tasted old, the custard tart was the worst I’ve ever had tasting like it had been there for a week. Could barely eat any of the food I bought there it was that bad.

Open 7 days a week, from 6:00am, which is brilliant, bread is baked daily. The owners are hardworking and very friendly, it's a convenient little bakery with a good selection of items, cakes & patisserie, hot pies with peas, sausage rolls, ham & chicken rolls, cakes and buns. They also have a handy selection of cold drinks, including milk if your're caught short. The Golden Hot Bread store is well supported and loved by the locals in the area. The other shops in this block are also a bonus, as you can pick up a few extras as well. You can get parking right outside the store.
