Awesome park with a neat playground and half court basketball. The playground has been recently upgraded.

A quiet "local knowledge" suburban park which is very popular for family picnics, children's birthday parties and home to a colourful variety of resident birdlife. The basketball court is well used by older teens, and the children's playground suits the younger ones. There are a number of large established older trees, which provide plenty of shade, it also means the summer time heat is not as intense. There is a small bbq but it's the old fashioned wood burning variety, perhaps the Council will upgrade it one day to a modern gas one? There is plenty of parking, the Norman Park Bowls Club is just across the road, with two local cafes within easy walking distance, Dovetail on Overend and Brisbean Coffee just around the corner at the intersection of Norman Ave and Wynnum Rd. So you could grab a bite and something to drink whilst you are in the neighbourhood.
Was only there to drop off nearby resident, however, pretty area and polite drivers.
It's got a good variety of playground equipment, a little different from the same old that you get at other parks. A good variety of trees for playing in, and lots of grass for running around.
Great Little Park - Beautiful in Oct/Nov with Jacaranda Trees in Bloom
It's a nice park. Plenty of shade and trees, good size of oval, parking, some seating, good playground equipment, one small wood fueled bqq (so will need matches), no toilets not close to any shops and only one undercover sitting area.
Cosy park across the road from the bowls club. Great play facilities for kids, a basketball court and woodfired oven on site. Also spacious enough to walk the dog. Wilson Park is best viewed in spring with the Jacaranda trees.
It's OK, nothing special
