I'm visiting from out of town and someone recommended I go here for dinner and I am so glad that I did. What a great place! Great atmosphere with live music (Jerry was the musician with a broad range of songs) that wasn't too loud. The service and food were both excellent. Kara was my server and such a pleasure to talk with about the town. Chef Kyle put together a delectable seafood entree that was nicely presented and perfectly portioned for a hungry guy like myself. I liked The River Bistro so much I came back the following night just to try a different dish which proved to be equally delicious. I Highly recommend stopping in at this small town gem. Thanks River Bistro. I'll be back!

We stopped in The River Bistro last Saturday for lunch. It was not very busy and we were seated promptly. My wife and I both had the red snapper with smashed potatoes and corn. The snapper was surprisingly good as were the potatoes. A salad bar came with the meal and it was fresh and tasty although I could have used another choice of dressing. Waitress and manager were very friendly and accommodating. Fun rustic location.

I went to the River Bistro a few weeks ago when some mates of mine from the U.K. Our server was Hunter and he was fantastic. Very nice and very welcoming. The food was absolutely wonderful. Everything was very well priced and tasted great. I personally had the Georgia Line and it was delicious. We did not speak to the Chef personally but he did come out and check on some guests and he seemed very nice as well. However this gets a bad review because this elderly woman whom I presumed to be kitchen staff kept coming out and yelling at our server and the other waitress for no apparent reason. When the music was not loud you could even hear her yelling at them in the kitchen. I pulled him aside and asked who she was and he had informed me that she was an owner!! I told that boy to find a new job and that her behavior was unnecessary. Great restaurant in general but we will not be back.

Went with friends to try Cynthia's River Bistro. What a delightful find! A great menu but the salad and lunch bar had a nice variety of options so I tried small amounts of everything. The food was superb. I especially liked the pork dish w peaches. Our server, who was great, suggested Cynthia's home made carrot cake w/Dickel glaze. It was yummy too. We were able to chat with Cynthia and the chef. I always like knowing who is preparing the food and both are committed to quality and customer satisfaction. This will soon be a popular spot by word of mouth. Limited days open at this time. Charming old 2-story building, relaxing atmosphere, interesting antique pieces are displayed for sale too. Normandy is a very short scenic drive from Tullahoma. We'll do this again! Thanks for a lovely lunch experience!
