Today the management of Greenwood Nursing Home at Normanhurst are moving my 97 year old father out of the Nursing Home with nowhere to go. His wife, a resident of Greenwood, passed away 10 days ago. The nursing home haven’t even respected his need to accept her death. My father has been in the nursing home for 2 months. He fell there when he was visiting my mother, and sustained 3 fractures. And they have not accepted any responsibility. My fathers intellect is 97% intact. He no longer eats or drinks because it takes them 1 to 3 hours for them to respond to a buzzer so he can be assisted to a bathroom. .... and the nursing home are kicking him out because the manager claims “we cannot reach his expectations”. More experiences to share soon. Completely shattered by this. As a doctor, I expected much more from a very expensive nursing home. Some humility at least.

My 82 year mother has now had 2 weeks at Greenwood. Only 6 weeks ago she was living independently in Perth, so it has been difficult moving her into a home. We visited a number of options including BUPA in St. Ives and Wahroonga House before deciding on Greenwood. We are very happy with our choice. Without exception the staff are delightful / caring, food is excellent and the rooms are comparable to a top hotel. Because Greenwood is such a high quality operation, I do not feel so guilty about moving her into aged care. And whenever I leave her after a visit, I feel positive, knowing that she is in very good hands.
My mother up until recently has been residing in Greenwood Aged Care. I found the home always presented well and more importantly did not smell. Right until the time she passed away she was treated with dignity, professional care and respect. During the final days of my mothers life both my family and my Mum were cared for in such a genuine and professional way. I will always be thankful to the Greenwood team for all the heart felt care they provided Mum.
My great granny lives here. I have not visited in sometime due to living interstate, but on my last visit I was relieved to see that she is happy here. The staff are friendly and interact well with the patients.
Beautiful looking place but as soon as you enter You will feel how negative this place is.staff keep complaining about short staffed and The manager don’t give a damn,
