First things first, nice pool and nice kitchen. However, what makes a place are the people behind it. Celeste the manager was totally unreasonable, she swindled my friends and I out of a combined 600. If this person is still running the place, run away. She didn't treat us as equals. I asked her a simple question the first day and she looked at me with complete disgust and ignored me, maybe because I'm a 'backpacker'. I asked again, then she gave me a dismissive answer, so I walked away then. She was like a child when we were discussing our refund after she unfairly kicked us out. Maybe this is a business policy of hers, to exploit young vulnerable holidaymakers that are far from home. I would never like to see someone lose their job, but if the owner of the caravan park is reading this I'd highly recommend you review your current management, or at least your future recruitment policies. Lovely people in the town itself, really top notch. This manager should not be working in this capacity though, obviously not her calling!

Celeste- the property MANAGER (be aware she leaves reviews for herself) was very unprofessional and unkind during our stay. This is in the middle of nowhere in Australia. We were with a group of 15 people road tripping when a car broke down. We were left to stay in normanton for 6 nights waiting for parts. After paying over 600 for our stay in the caravan park, we began to settle in. Our friends and I got into the habit of doing activities like playing chess, slack-lining, swimming, cooking, playing cards. We never played music too loud and too late and we didn’t even drink on the property aside from one evening with a few beers. For the amount of people we were, we were well over modest with our mannerisms. I would admit that the kitchen was dirty while many of us were using it, but then we would clean the kitchen! Of course the staff seen it when it was messy, but still WE cleaned it. We went out to the local pup on our 3rd night there and on our way back some local aboriginals followed us. Next thing you know we were being kicked out as we arrived for bringing them into her property, but we didn’t, they followed and we didn’t even get the chance to defend ourselves. Despite drinking at the pub, Celeste had no mercy and demanded us to all leave her property immediately. Of course we couldn’t be driving after we’ve been drinking. Also, we were in the middle of nowhere, we had nowhere to go. She yelled at us very inappropriately and was raging with anger. After communicating with the police and getting them to convince her to at least let us stay until 8 in the morning to leave, we were able to go to sleep so we can pack early. She never gave us a refund and left us stranded in the middle of nowhere. We were all hurt and confused of such behavior. We were genuinely a kind group of young adults. I feel sorry for Celeste and wish her well and better. But I wouldn’t dare recommend this place to anyone else.

Neat and tidy. Good amenities. Fare fee. Close to everything. A nice place to wait for the water to go down.

Managers were wholly unreasonable, delusional and lacked humanity. Felt quite sorry for them really. I would enthusiastically not recommend.

Celest and Murry are amazing. The park is looking so much better than 4 years ago.

Some of the most sad and disgusting behaviour I've ever seen from somewhere who offers 'accommodation" in my life time. A large group of friendly backpackers were removed from this site without proper warning. I'm not entirely sure what was going through the management's head, but to remove a group of people who have paid 700 to stay on camping sites during a worldwide pandemic is a very depressing move. To remove vulnerable persons in a vunerable time should play on anyone's conscious, but apparently these people have none. I'd like to give zero stars but it's not an option. I hope the next people managing this are more accommodating.
