I have always had quick service, fresh fish, and very competitive pricing. If you enjoy a wide array of Japanese Saki, it's all in the title. They have the BEST and broadest Saki menu in Charleston. Habatchi is always loaded with fun and normal dining is quietly removed from the hot tables. A great place to get exquisite food at bargain prices.

We ordered at 4:00 pm and it’s now 6:20pm. No food in sight. We’ve called several times and got the run around excuse. They promised our food by 5:30 at the latest. Not sure if we’ll ever see our food. Our bill was over 80. Do not waste your money or time with this restaurant. This is unacceptable and pathetic.

Okay so tonight was absolutely kinda a wreck and I'm not sure how we got seated within an reasonable amount of time. But meet one lady who called to do a reservation and then she gets there and they said they don't take reservations.lol.. okay so I deleted my other review to do this review and the sushi is definitely better here than the hibachi. I just didn't like the veggies, shrimp was to big should had been cooked alil longer. Chicken needed more teriyaki sauce, but one thing this restaurant has that taste the same.... White sauce... lmao ‍️‍️‍️

The service was great, this was my first time in a Japanese restaurant and the food was unexpectedly awesome, but their prices are a little bit high

We made advance reservations for 7:30p. We arrived early and the place was packed full shoulder to shoulder, including the lobby (COVID city). After waiting over 15 minutes, a man finally weeded his way to the front of the restaurant. He randomly started inquiring to customers who needs to be sat, who was here for hibachi, and never once asked who was here first. It's a madhouse. After telling him that we had reservations for 7:30, he asked for how many? There was clearly no management, and no reservation list. My wife inquired with a waitress asking who was working reception and who the manager was. She claimed she had absolutely no idea and stated she only waited tables. This is the same woman who ended up being our waitress. Another 20 minutes passed by and the man kept confirming that we had 2 people. Not that we had reservations, and not that we were about to be sat. Just running aimlessly through the restaurant with no idea what he was doing. We finally got sat just after 8p and didn't hesitate to place our order to ensure the wait wasn't prolonged even further. 8:35 the sushi is finally served. 8:55, we finally get the ball rolling, and the hibachi cart comes rolling out. Surprisingly, the sushi is great, but the hibachi and table service was terrible. Now it's time for the check two hours later. The waitress forced an 18% tip on the check when she brought it. Upon inquiry, she stated it was standard. I told her I wasn't going to pay a rewarding tip for sub-par service. My wife asked her to speak to the manager. She told us SHE WAS the manager!?! Now remember who told my wife she didn't know who the manager was?!? I have never once in my life left a 0.00 tip. Never. Until today. I found the cook who served us, and gave him a substantial cash tip for doing an excellent job. Despite the sushi and the hibachi chef.....I'll never return to this mismanaged establishment.

Sake House Japanese Sushi & Hibachi Restaurant on Centre Pointe Drive in North Charleston is a great experience for all things sushi, drinks, and hibachi all in one place. The food here is delicious, fresh, and expertly prepared. They provide a really comfortable and laid back atmosphere that makes for an enjoyable meal. They have been consistent in their quality every time I have been here and well worth a visit.

A lively hibachi and sushi place. I haven’t had the sushi but I’m sure it’s standard. Actual oriental staff, so probably family run? The hibachi is great, their vegetables are less soy and more sweet. Their white sauce is a little thinner than I’m used to. They use a decent fit of beef for the steak and the shrimp are definitely jumbo. Have and will be back!
