You give, they take and not give back. This property is a converted 1950's motel turned apartment with rather minimal updates to interior and design. Windows have never been updated since the 50's. Insulation is poor. Walls are nothing but concrete cinder blocks, so tenants basically live in studio-sized ovens. Insects, lizards, and critters crawl in all the time, so I have to fog/gas the apartment often. Got a broken closet door, bathroom door, window, ceiling fan, or electric socket? Forget it. My studio never got maintenance that I deserved. Parker House Properties is understaffed and poorly budgeted, and is fully aware that it only prioritizes certain properties and ignores others. In fact, it's stipulated in the lease that tenants are responsible for unit maintenance and control of pests. Getting mail is a pain-in-the-ass since the Parker House Properties never purchased a cluster mailbox for tenants. Forget secure package delivery since there's neither a secure lock box nor apartment office to secure that package for you. And god have mercy if you're ever late on rent! They'll charge you 38% of your rent. Believe me, I paid 269 out of a 700 monthly rent for being late. Then there's the scary fact that property management will not honor requests to trespass unwanted persons from showing up at your door. That means if you have an identifiable stalker leaving unwanted gifts at your door, Parker House Properties will not trespass them despite having security cameras on property. Lastly, multiple units on this property (including the unit I was living in at the time) have failed Section 8/Housing Authority inspections. You know a property isn't right for anyone if Section 8/Housing Authority does not approve of it.
