Attempted the hiking loop but had to turn around halfway due to the trails being flooded. No shade at all whatsoever so probably won’t be back. Cute dam though.

Good parking lot, canoe lunch, hiking trail between long needled pines. Nice place to hike or just chill out.

Very secluded at a dead end road. It's the perfect quiet spot. Beautiful scenery. Don't eat the bitter oranges! Cool place to explore and get a good hike in. The boars are very aggressive and territorial... Bring a buddy and don't go hiking alone like I did! Or go alone and have a story to tell.

Fun place to hike and see wild life. We saw Alligator, Armadillos, squirrels, rabbits, black wild pig and a tortoises. Small portions of the trail was under water. It never got above our knee and was usually only ankle deep. We hiked 6 miles. When we first got there we came across a large group of kayakers exiting the river and when we got back there were fisherman fishing the banks.

It's a place for locals to fish. You can put in kayaks and run the river south or north of the dam, but not a boat. They do have pavilions for picnics and a couple spots to fish from the bank. A trail to walk, hike or jog. Did see a hog. Didn't catch a fish.
