The desk clerk was very nice. The lodge looks like it is being rehabbed. I was confident my room was clean from covid germs. I had requested a handicap room for my reservation. I reminded him I could not be on second floor, and can not climb stairs. He switched me to a ground floor room. The room had some aesthetic issues. Paint peeling off the doors. The bolt lock was broken. There were bugs in the room. To be fair, the room was near a trash container and near the pool so bugs are always going to be a problem. I did not tell them until I was leaving so I did not give them an opportunity to fix it. When I left I did tell him and he said he would have them fixed. My GPS tracking had trouble finding the lodge but once I figured it out, it wasn't a problem. There was someone living there. At night, a man would visit (all three nights) at 3am to 4am. I think it might have been a money and drug drop from the conversation. That kind of riff raff will always be present. I wasn't unsafe. The lodge had cameras everywhere. The clerk was very nice. I would try them again due to the location for my visit.

While small evidence of customer love and use are visible, I found the room nice, very clean and with good functionality... microwave, fridge, hairdryer, and coffeemaker. Staff was courteous and quick to get us checked in and also quickly accommodated a request for utensils for take out that we brought in from road trip. I would stay here again. Good value and unexpectedly comfortable for the price point.
