Mike refinished a piano for me that was my grandmothers. It had been in a flooded house and so had some issues. When Mike brought the piano back we could not believe it was the same piano. So happy with the quality of work and his attention to detail. Would highly recommend his services.

We were so happy with the job that Michael did and would highly recommend him to anyone for tuning and refinishing any piano. In addition to the fine work he does with tuning and refinishing, he is also a very nice guy who loves his job and is just a pleasure to work with and be around. He initially tuned this 1930's piano for us to help us decide that we wanted to buy it. He then replaced the keys and cleaned, refinished, and stained the whole piano giving it an amazing new look. He then re-tuned it (since it had been moved since the first tuning and because it had been so long since it was tuned previously). Overall, the piano sounds great and looks awesome! Attached are the before and after pictures. Initially, the piano had many scratches and dings, but now it looks as good as new. He has a passion for his job and I would definitely trust any piano to his expertise.
Michael is great, showed up on time, was honest and fair and understood that sometimes a piano is more than just a piano, it's part of the family.
Mike did a great job on our piano. We have a unique piano and he basically had to re-do the whole inside. He wasn’t afraid to admit that it was something he hadn’t done before but he was confident he could do it. I appreciated his honesty and he filled us in on his progress along the way. I had reached out to a few places to get our (very old) piano tuned, and no one really responded. I reached out to Mike and he texted back the same day! He was able to come the NEXT day! Fixed our piano in one day- it was awesome! He was able to get rid of the "clicking" keys, the one stuck key, and our piano sounds amazing!! Incredibly grateful for Piano Utah, and I *highly* recommend this company!
We had an amazing experience with Mike. Our piano sounds so wonderful we stayed up for hours playing finally being able to hear the piano in tune with our guitars was truly magical. So happy to have called Piano Utah!
Michael @ Piano Utah was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. My experience with him from beginning to end was positive. Most of all, he really took my old Baldwin Classic upright from rags to riches. This piano was given to me and had been beaten up pretty badly by a house full of kids, and probably had never been tuned or maintained. Michael opened it up, cleaned out the Monopoly money and the odd toys, diagnosed it quickly and accurately, and got to work on a stretch tuning and a desparately needed action adjustment. He was finished after a couple hours of work during which I greatly enjoyed his company and conversation. Once he had closed her back up and I sat down to play my Baldwin, I was blown away with how great she sounded. The piano was not only in tune, but the keys were more responsive and had quicker release, the sustain was clear and bell-like, and the harmonics made it sound like a much bigger and much newer piano! I was very impressed with Michael himself and the work he did. The results of his work on my piano far exceeded my original expectations, and his price was very fair. I'm going to have Michael back to my home in a few months to fine tune it again and shave the hammers down. And I would definitely recommend you invite him over to work on your piano if you value your music and love the sound of a beautifully tuned instrument as much as I do.
