Base level noise (or the lack there of) in our hybrid activity based working environment was proving to be highly problematic as even the smallest intelligible sounds were causing distraction and breaks in concentration levels for people who required acoustic isolation for focused tasks. We had nailed the acoustic reverberation brief, however, our floor plate was too quiet. We engaged 45dB to assist with our problem and the system that was installed really helped to mitigate voice intelligibility which noticeably improved staff concentration levels and helped to minimise ongoing distractions.
