Stayed at North Walsham for the weekend and stumbled across this little gem in the town! Lovely setting, relaxed atmosphere, great service and above all - fantastic food. Best roast dinner we’ve had in a restaurant for a long time. Vegan options covered with vegan cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire puds! The vegan wife was very happy fully recommended!

Generally overpriced. Apart from starters food generally good. Menu a bit confused, not sure what they're trying to be. Nice atmosphere inside and it makes a change to have a bistro type eaterie in area so quite popular.

Can honestly say was one of the best meals I've had at a restaurant for a long time.. and not over priced. Service was excellent ..would highly recommend. Definitely be visiting again next time in Norfolk

This is not a franchise, nor thankfully, does it come weighted down with Mitchelin Stars. You can eat in those places if you please and expect the table cloths to be as starched as the supercillious grin of a waiter who dispises you. It will cost you 200 quid, plus a tip for the Uriah Heep in the suit. And you go away thinking you would have been happier if you had bought the meal-deal from Poundland and sat in front of Corrie instead. Shambles offers something just as nourishing as its menu. It offers charm and a beautiful ambiance to eat, gossip and to feel good about life and humanity. The art of cooking is not the preserve of genius. Hannibal Lecter was a wonderful chef, but we wouldn't really want to eat his meat pies. It takes real class to have the courage and the vision to create the ambience and effortless style of a place like Shambles. I envy the natives of North Walsham and hope that they continue to support this wonderful local business.
