The course has improved drastically since it started being run by the members. We played on a very wet day on October 28th and the course was in good condition with very good greens for the time of year. The green keepers were working on the course while we played and took the time to stop works and asked what we thought to the course. It was clear they're proud of the works they've done so far and good to speak to happy staff proud of their works. Looking forward to next summer when the course will be back to number 1 in Northamptonshire!! Well done to the new club and course management and their teams!

Played here yesterday with my son as a potential course to become members of and we are sorry Collingtree we won’t be. I played this course in the 90’s when at its best and although we know it is going through changes as a members club the condition was very disappointing. A lot of the tees were very bare .greens patchy and the fairways have lost the lush turf and now have very coarse grass and not good. Course layout still great but disappointed that this course has fell from its grace.

A strong modern parkland flanked by water hazards and large houses. The course has a great set of par 3s, sloping greensite and about 60 bunkers. Collingtree is usually in good condition and I have heard the greens are improving. It plays quite short from the yellows at 6,227 yards and there are not many long par 4s. The best holes on the course are the 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 18th. I think this course could be a real challenge if they built or reinstated some championship tees. Nevertheless, the course is a good challenge and is playable too.
