Firstly, I want to start of by saying the medical team are first class. Always been very helpful and friendly. This review does not reflect the care from them. The major let down is the ‘some’ of the reception staff! I have always been a person that calls doctors as a last resort and only call if I have too. My complaint is not about all reception staff as there is at least one nice lady there, but the other staff have always been rude, abrupt and patronising. I’ve suffered for nearly 2 years with a condition and finally plucked the courage to call the doctors. I now feel like i don’t want to call again. This is a sad situation for a service that provides care. I understand that we live in unprecedented times and you must be extremely busy, but to be kind and courteous to others surely is a simple skill needed for staff that work ‘front of house’. All the great work done behind the scenes at the surgery is undone by a few grumpy/rude members of staff. I really hope that the powers that be see this review and enroll the staff on some basic customer service training. I was comforted by reading other reviews of a similar nature, at least I see it’s not personal.

Excellent service given to me by perception,doctors and nurses. I would recomend this surgery to anyone. I have found them to be one of most friendly and helpful of any surgery I have ever been connected with. I can't thank them enough

Doctors are great, never had a problem with them. However, as others have mentioned certain (not all) receptionist can be a little rude - one raised her voice at me despite it being a surgery error last week. Was slightly frustrated that one member of staff told me that not having to offer face to face appointments is good as they’ve managed to cut out seeing the time wasters. Shows a lack of empathy for the patients they ‘care’ for. It’s a shame as pre covid they were offering so much more. Did want to take this up with the practice manager but she didn’t return my request for a phone call.

I phoned first thing this morning and was number 4 in the queue. I became number 3 after 43 mins and was cut off after 1hour 23mins. I then phoned about 10.45 when I was number 7 in the queue. The call was answered after 2 hours and 43 mins and 22 seconds. I complained to the receptionist who said she would cut me off and also as it was after 1pm I would have to phone again tomorrow. I then asked to be put through to the practice manager who was on holiday but I got the deputy practice manager.By this time I was in tears. She was at least helpful and said I would get a call or a message today and apologized for the wait but said they were very busy. It does not justify waiting nearly 3 hours.i was messaged by the Dr who said it was unacceptable and issued a prescription but felt I was struggling and that she would call me tomorrow between 8.30- 2.00pm as they were two doctors short and I needed more time than she had to speak to me today. Last week I also phoned and was number 1 in the queue and that took 43 mins to be answered i then received a text that there was a message at reception and to please ring them. I was waiting 59 mins this time and I hung up. I then had another message from reception and rang again that took 34 mins to be answered. The receptionists are never very pleasant band are certainly not understanding. I have had cause to phone several times recently and have only once spoken to the doctor All I ever get is a message from reception or a nurse ringing me back. Its just not good enough.

All staff and doctor's are very caring and friendly. I work in a care home, Greenview is the registered surgery for the home and they care for our elderly residents, nothing is to much trouble and they certainly do not look at the elderly people as if there health concerns don't matter because of there age. I am also a patient of Greenview and think the service they provide is excellent.
