What a nice place to have Sunday lunch. A window seat overlooking the Racecourse..ok the sun was out - bonus. I know it was a once a picture house, we ate in what was the foyer, and I remember when it was more of a flea pit than cinema, but that was a long time ago. It's more continental cafe bar now. Lovely food. Great service and welcoming atmosphere.
I love the picturedrome ...the atmosphere ,the food,the events when under normal circumstances it's a gem of a place. Just before they closed i popped in for a bite after a bike ride with my daughter -sat down ,coats off ,settled in seats -menu ...no children's meals ?(limited menu )I was offered a plate of vegetables (we are veggie) for 7.50! Cmon picturedrome ..there's was 20adult options still...did you expect me to eat and not my child? The young girl serving us was lovely but in the end I wasn't going to pay that so we had to pack up and leave ... This doesn't work with any child let alone an autistic one .
They have some vegan options. Unfortunately the mushroom Wellington was not available but the vegan burger was good - but no substitute for vegan creamy mash and a pastry dish!. They are super friendly in there and you can enjoy a free cinema experience and half price food on a Monday. 1917 movie is playing early August so you should not miss out on this!
Nicely prepared food, excellent value at half-off on a Tuesday! Attentive, well trained staff and a good range of premium drinks. Bravo Picturedrome!
