Apparently we aren't good enough in Northbrook to have the Zodiac name..only New York and Dallas get that.. We get a more generic place that quite frankly isn't worth what they charge..

Limited menu, slowest service ever, almost: fantastic service and awesome complimentary chicken consomme in a dematoss to whet your appetite. The tomato bisque is a too acidic but not bad!
I'm not sure why chicken broth is served as a pre-meal drink. I searched for it on Google, and one of the results was for "chicken broth vodka" -- so maybe next time I need to arrive with a flask. The food here is pretty good. I had a roast beef sandwich and fries. The fries were alright; the sandwich was toasted nicely and had a tasty horseradish spread on the side for dipping. Drink refills were handled quickly; the service was excellent throughout. And yes, the popovers are delightful whether you use the strawberry-infused butter or not. If you want more than one, just ask - there's generally a person walking around with a basket of them looking to unload.
Beautiful room. I felt like I was walking into a Sex in The city episode. Lots of ladies lunching. The food however was over priced and under delivered. The best part of the meal was the popovers and raspberries butter. I ordered a chicken schnitzel sandwich. It was not breaded and didnt have much flavor. My friend ordered Turkey & Havarti with green goddess aioli. She asked for the aioli on the side. The sandwich came with no Havarti but aioli on the sandwich. We had it remade and it STILL had the aioli on the sandwich. 20 a sandwich makes them not really worth it.
The food is amazing! My only complaint is that they close early :(
I trust the food here more than just about any place else. Truly amazing quality, and very clearly the best ingredients around.
