Today I had to take a Respiratory Viruses PCR test. For the start, when I got into the lab, very arrogant nurse let me sit behind her which was next to the sink full of her long black hair - healthy standards don't apply to this lab!? She gave me the test over her shoulder and said: 'You do it yourself by standing in front of the mirror, I don't want to do it as you may vomit.' This attitude is very unprofessional and leads to the question who is responsible if the test wasn't done right and results are false? Getting anything down your throat is unpleasant and it definitely should be done by professional. If a person needs to vomit so be it! At least you should take care that you did everything to your best knowledge and practice. Does the nurse in this lab just sit and collect tests (including blood ampoules...)? What are really her responsibilities? Do patients have to educated themselves prior visiting this lab so they are capable of doing tests right? I will make sure to contact NATA who gave accreditation to this laboratory. This is above and beyond acceptable and the nurse should be responsible for her work. I understand that some people are not passionate about their jobs, but the nurse's attitude clearly shows that she has no knowledge or interest in what she should be doing, less she knows about healthy standards. Avoid this lab and find a good one.
I arrived at 1255pm and was out at 105pm. Blood Collector was well spoken, well presented however she did say they were closed when I arrived but when I reminded her I believe they close at 1pm she accepted my Pathology request otherwise I would have rated 5 stars.
The indian pathology person made my mum cry and left her traumatise when she took her blood. She was not gentle when placed the needle in both arms trying to locate the vein. Mum bled more and had a big bruise on both arms. Never again attend this pathology clinic again.
A disorganised concoction of misinformation and epicly low care factor. I still don't know what I am supposed to do with the cup they gave me as I went out the door. Worst semen test ever.
