My mum moved in recently and the residents and staff have been amazing, going out of their way to welcome her and make the transition as easy as possible. Veronica Gardens itself has a small, friendly, village-like atmosphere, with a great location next to the golf course, Merri Creek, Ceres and nearby Northcote shops. All up it's good value too if you were to compare it to buying in this area.

My parents moved into a gorgeous 3 bedroom unit last August, they had a lawyer who specialises in retirement village contracts, check all the details, he summation, after thoroughly reading through it, ‘it’s fine they are all the same’ so they went in with their eyes open! They are very happy there, their friends love the place, it has the most amazing views. The new management is terrific, and the other residents are lovely! Very pleased!
I like Veronica"s garden I think it is a nice retirement village
My parents live here and they really enjoy it. They're in one of the town houses, not the assisted living area. They're busier now than when they were before they moved there! Every place of this type has its pro's and con's, but overall the place is run well with the current management and, as long as you READ your contract and UNDERSTAND your contract BEFORE you sign, you will be well aware of the compromises in purchasing a property in a place like this. Those that complain they're being ripped off and didn't understand the contract (or didn't even bother reading it) only have one person to blame... check who's in the mirror. Purchasing a retirement home to live in is NOT an investment so you can make a profit to give to your children, it is an investment for YOU... NOW. It is there so you can enjoy your post-retirement years. The golf course is very close, lots of parks near by, shopping centres and the Preston Market are very close with very frequent free buses organised by the village to take you up there and pick you up afterwards. Veggie garden and a nice community hall along with good food make it a great place to live. My parents love it. Definitely worth a short list entry when you're looking around.
This place exploits the sick and elderly. Disgusting.
