Paul, his family, staff and Cellar 1839 are a welcome, family run alternative to liquor shops attached to supermarket chains, of which there are few nearby. They make everyone feel welcome and often share a laugh. I was even given a tub of home made hummus from his Aunty! The store is kept well, terrific selection of wines and spirits and beers. Yes it's a business but at least you leave feeling better buying here as opposed to other less appealing places. They've embraced the neighbourhood and the neighbourhood has embraced them.
Great bottle shop. Wide and quality selection of beer wine and spirits and snack food. Nice people.
