Littlee Switch

Absolutely one of the best bakery's I've been to. Service is polite and prompt. The pastries are great, but I love the Chicken Avocado roll. ( always buy a pie or 2 - they are still great re-heated) Tues and Thursday roast Pork crackling, real crackling! Friendly and it's so great to support local.

I had a tasty sausage roll and a coffee at Phil’s Bakery & Cafe opting to sit outside and people watch as it had been over a year since I’ve made it to this neck of the woods. Everything managed in a covid safe manner with QR code’s on every table and plenty of space inside for queuing and waiting. The sausage rolls had a light buttery pastry and although the filling was quite soft (I prefer the texture a little firmer) it tasted really delicious. Coffee was also pleasant and strong enough despite me forget to order it strong.

Two Sheds

Phil’s Bakehouse is your Westgarth non hipster option. It’s refreshingly ordinary in its offerings, layout and style, and it has a loyal and dedicated following. We grabbed one of the outdoor tables on High Street and my seat was next to a wheelie bin. No matter at all. Our coffees were good. A perfectly respectable brew and served with a nice word and a lovely smile. They were inexpensive too. You can ask for little more. We like the look of the Greek food on offer here. It looked mighty good and the price was right. We’ll be back.

One of my favs during 2020 lockdown. The smell of the freshly baked pies walking past entice you in. Make your own sandwich - yummm. Decent coffee too.
