Being someone who has a couple properties I made it clear that my loans should not be cross collateralised. I received the contract and questioned it again as it appeared it was, only to have Simon reassure me the documents don't make it clear but it's not cross collaterised. This is laziness by the broker and it only benefits the lender. It has taken almost 1 year to fix the mess made due to this, including an Ombudsman complaint due to his lack of communication with me. If you own more than one property, be careful about how your loans are structured. I had to fix this mess for the last year dealing the the Ombudsman, the lender and at the very end himself because they all made it clear it was his fault.
