Used to live across the road from here.. If you ever wanted to experience Black Books in real life, this is the place

I don't believe it's actually possible to purchase anything from this 'shop'. Only try and enter when the owner(?) is distracted on the phone, you have been warned.

Intriguing store with plenty of things to spend a rainy (or sunny) afternoon checking out! A bit like shopping at a museum (in a good way). Open until later than most shops. I’ve bought a number of things here (books and a framed message) and would go back for more. You can spend ages here looking through things... If only some of the items could be marked down a fraction so that they would go quicker! Then there’d be more room to move around and see what lies beneath the other stock! All my experiences interacting with the owner have been warm, although I did overhear her get upset at someone for taking photos without asking once. I guess just be courteous and you’ll be fine (as I have)! If you’re interested in unions/collective action/climate change/social causes you’ll find a passionate conversation partner here.

An interesting place to say the least is this veritable hoarders paradise. Stuff piled up on stuff with very narrow little rabbit runs snaking thought it all. Slim people would have more chance of successfully negotiating through the labyrinth. The owner eyed me warily when I first entered and muttered something under her breath about people looking and not buying which she repeated to a hapless man who dared to ask whether he could see something which was obscured from view by a multitude of other things piled on top of it. As i worked my way around the dimly lit interior I did see many things of interest but they were either inaccessible or in danger of creating a landslide of stuff if they were moved. On the way out I spied a lonely single Doc Marten boot so I inquired of the owner if it might possibly have a mate. This seemed to spark some interest and resulted in a long anecdote about a former employee from 15 years ago who the owner regretted leaving and she wished she would come back and help her sort things out. Also that she thought there were about 1000 other shoes out the back if she only had time to go and sort them out. I would say that the place is definitely worth a visit as you might even find Jimmy Hoffa or Boo Radley here if you look hard enough.

Lovely Shop. Owner is fair and does have a lot of odd things. There is a lot of items from estates and things range from old crockery to records. Worth a look out. Just be aware that mobile phones and cameras are not allowed in shop. Feel free to write notes for yourself with your own pen and paper

The old lady sitting in this shop clearly has some serious mental health issues. Zero coherence. How is this person allowed to have a shop open for business? What are the legal requirements? The verbal abuse customers endure by simply looking into the shop is reprehensible to say the least.
