This is our local Vietnamese restaurant. There are quite a few on High Street but Viet Pearl is definitely our favourite, we’ve been going here for years. Authentic good Vietnamese food at good prices and portions. Lovely hard-working little family business.
This is as close to Vietnam you'll get without actually being there. There's no shortage of Vietnamese restaurants in Melbourne and they all claim to be 'authentic', but only Viet Pearl can truly claim that title. Their menu is huge and there's a lot to choose from (which can be overwhelming if you're as indecisive as me). Just ask for a recommendation and they'll narrow down on exactly what you want. If you haven't had one before, I'd recommend a Vietnamese coffee after you've finished your meal. Overall, Viet Pearl is authentic, affordable and absolutely delicious.
Good value for food. Tastes yum. But unfortunately had to wait for 45 min to an hour for a rice meal. Ordered two sets, and only got one. They gave the other one to a wrong customer. Sad... we were so hungry but had to wait and share 1 meal with a friend.
