I have had smoked Salmon from Coln Valley before and recall it being fantastic. I bought some for Christmas last year and it was almost flavourless. It wouldn't have surprised me if it hadn't been smoked. This was a shame as we were looking forward to this as part Could it be Christmas time being a busy time of year that they spend minimal time in the smokery?

Great salmon, awful packaging - fish oil everywhere. Just bought our second lot of their smoked salmon. Both packs leaked oil which ended up on other goods, clothes, car controls etc. Some other items will have to be thrown away as I don't know how to get oil off bread, fruit, etc. then try to get fish oil off clothes and the steering wheel, door handles, switches, gear knob etc. Really unhappy.
Love the taste! Probably the best salmon I have ever had.
Yet to try the kippers but the service is first class, a problem was dealt with quickly and generously and that is the measure of an organisation, how they deal with problems. Fully recommended.
