No steak, no burger buns, no gammon. Social distancing observed by staff. The food was awful. Since the beginning of Aug the suppliers have not delivered most of the food as it wasn't making any profit. Those were the managers words. When asked how was the meal, I asked was it all frozen? Yes, was the answer. The corn on the cob, the 3 chicken nuggets, 3 mini drumsticks, the ribs and the chips.. all frozen. I got it wrapped up and gave it to my dog. The heat was unbearable. Got out of there quickly. I will not be going back there again. Must say the staff was sympathetic. They were only thing giving such a generous rating. Very welcoming and helpful. Our first outing in a restaurant since March and it was such a let down. The drink was good.. once they changed the Carling.

Went for lunch. Good selection of beers and wines. Big car park which is free for patrons but be sure to enter your car registration on the terminal in the pub or you will be fined. Pleasant and helpful staff. My friend needed their phone charged and the pub came to the rescue. Good menus offering a large variety of food at reasonable prices. I went for a curry which was excellent and very tasty. Its not fancy but does offer good food and drink with a welcoming smile. I shall be returning.
Absolutely great night at the crown tonight! It was an absolute pleasure from the moment I walked in with my dad who is high risk. The staff and management made sure we signed the track and trace and it was brilliant to see how professional they all were especially with the current climate. The facilities were clean and as a regular who hasn't been in for a while I feel confident to visit more often. I also like the effort that has been made with the Halloween decorations. Thank you to all of the staff for the amazing experience!
Great value food. Wide range of menu choice and the staff also great. Covid policy is in pperation here woth hand gel and social distancing measures in plave. Would recommend if you like your traditional pub food go and enjoy also free parking for those using the pub with plenty of parking space
Nothing special. Looks like the chef had bad day- food wasn't great,prepared from low quality ingridiences, running kids everywhere, loud. I am not recomendig this place. Terrible.
Came here for my anniversary lunch today with my husband. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great food and good portion size for very reasonable prices. Will definitely be returning.
This has been my local for 40 years and have seen it through highs and lows ...and quite frankly have avoided lately for many reasons . However , visited yesterday for lunch with friends and was impressed. The new landlady is doing a brilliant job - the food has seriously improved as is the cleanliness and layout. The wines are also a vast improvement - much more palatable The Crown is in prime location and I truly hope that these improvements and future plans are carried out.
Booked table when arrived told the kitchen was closed and not serving food.
