Contrary to the reviews that I read everyone was very polite and helpful. The judge was understanding and merciful. Over all good experience, not cheap but fair.

Be aware that Mon thru Fri they close at 4:30 not 5:00 before you take off work

I was under the impression that alabama had a law to let one speeding ticket a year to be settled by safety course. This city does not honor that, nor do they like to be questioned about their procedures in the court room. It is an uninviting atmosphere within the courtroom as there is a clear silence of discontent surrounding the officials. If you have anything you need, don't expect to be helped out by the city of Northport, clearly not in the interest of public safety, but rather in self funding.

The manlet prosecutor is unwilling to help anyone out. If your citation is written that is what you get. Don't expect any sort of leniency, at least in Tuscaloosa if you show up and ask they'll reduce your speed and maybe dismiss the ticket. Northport has an inferiority complex, and their officials take it out on you. And for that reason, although I live here, I do not spend my free time within their district. I also came by before my court date to see if I could get it pushed back because I was busy with school at the time. The clerk at the desk was annoyed I was even asking questions or asking for clarification. It's not a public safety building, it's a public revenue building. I would have fought the ticket, but I wasn't sure whether or not they'd jail me.

Just called to pay my ticket and asked how much my ticket was and the lady that answered the phone talked to me like I was an idiot when she told me I couldn't pay over the phone.
