The manager, Sue, is the most accessible, helpful manager of a service I have ever had experience of. She helped on issues of delicate nature, always found time to respond and advise. Visited my dad in his care home and has been professional with compassion in difficult times I cannot speak highly enough of her as a person and barclays manager... Thank you I am and my father are sincerely grateful for the support you have shown... In the true spirit of the origins of this institution

I am really going to have to stop using the Northwich branch of Barclays - its turning me into Victor Meldrew and playing havoc with my blood pressure. As Ive said before, its a question of nice staff trying to cope with systems that are so unfriendly to customers. There are two tills which have a notice saying that they are \Quick Tills\ for business customers paying in cash. Unfortunately there is normally only one of the two which is open. Today I went in to pay a few hundred pounds, and ended up stuck in a queue behind one poor soul who was trying to sort out a problem with his personal account. The second till was unmanned, but there were a couple of staff standing around asking if they could help. Eventually one of them decided to open the second till. I really think the staff are trying their very best, but can only say that the Barclays management who decided that the present system is the best way of operating must have customer service at the very bottom of their list of priorities. Id also ask if there isnt someone who is supposedly the most senior person in the branch who could sort out priorities rather than sitting hidden away somewhere. Mind you, I dont know why Im getting my knickers in a twist. Barclays will probably be closing the branch next year!!! Customers - what a nuisance!
Never had problem there staff always ready to help
After being with Barclays for over 20 years Marc Spruce business banking manager decided to close my accounts down. In his mind he thinks he’s caught Bin Laden. Terrible service. Most dull and boring service. He got so excited about Barclays ping it and mobile app. Couldn’t stop talking about it even though he knew he was shutting my accounts down. Next day got a call from him and said sorry can’t open any new accounts. All I needed was an account with no over draft.
