i have been attending Eleanor's yoga classes for a couple of years now. She is one of those rare gems of a yoga teacher that you feel lucky to find. She is not only an excellent teacher but her lovely warm and friendly personality makes her feel like an old friend. My favourite class is restorative yoga class on a wednesday evening. I look forward to these classes and they are invaluable for releasing tension and calming the nervous system. We are expertly led by eleanor into a range of different tension releasing positions, where we hold the pose for a number of minutes. While in the pose she uses her voice to share interesting and relevant information about the body, and the pose. As a naturally anxious person whose nervous system can easily get triggered if find this class incredibly zen and relaxing and effective at releasing tension and anxiety. i always sleep well on wednesday nights and i couldnt recommend this class more to anyone intetrested in restorative yoga. Eleanor's other classes are also excellent!

I was initially introduced to yoga by an older gentleman in a David Lloyd gym, at the time I had some lower back and shoulder issues due to my line of work. He encouraged me to try yoga although I was sceptical at first and more of a weights person (general gym goer), eventually he persuaded me by explaining how Eleanor had helped him with his back issues within 3 months of attending her group and private classes. I thought in general I was in pretty decent shape and of reasonable strength, what I didn't realise was that yoga was a full body workout!!! Really I was doing myself more harm than good by pumping weights all the time in the gym and stiffening my body up which was adding to my back and shoulder issues. Yoga with Eleanor over the last year and a half has showed me a new lease of life, I've lost over a stone in weight and I'm a lot more flexible than I ever thought possible and free from any back or shoulder issues (thank god). That coupled with her way of teaching has made such a difference to me, its not just about your body, its about your body and mind working together. 2.5 years ago I was looking for a beginner yoga class to help with keeping my back healthy and not needing so many trips to the Osteopath. Luckily for me, Eleanor started a 6 week beginner class at my gym and I became hooked on the health benefits I get from attending Eleanor’s classes, both physically and mentally. Eleanor creates varied lesson plans each week and we build on perfecting poses as well as learning new ones. I attend Eleanor’s private small group classes and find them more beneficial than attending large group classes, as you get targeted advice on how to finesse the poses to ensure you are protecting your body, but also being encouraged to stretch further. If you are new to yoga practice or have been practicing for many years, I can highly recommend Eleanor as a wonderful yoga teacher.
I initially started going to yoga with Eleanor’s six week beginner classes and I am still attending two years later. Her classes not only make me feel physically stronger but are great for calming the mind and destressing each week. She is excellent at being able to support you when needed or gently pushing you on when she knows you can stretch a little stronger. As she talks through the practice, her explanations put things in life into perspective and focuses your mind on the here and now. I always feel taller and happier when I leave her classes. I would and do highly recommend Eleanor’s classes to anyone who is considering taking up yoga or building on their practice.
