If you're into history or military equipment this is a great place to visit. Entrance is free, two floors of exposition packed with items and displays. There is also a small cafe on the first floor. I wish the information would've been completely translated to English.

Stunning place! Absolutely must see museum for any military/history/nordic lover. This spot has so much to offer. Easily spent several hours browsing multiple sections. They do have quite cool stuff. Not to mention Armored Personal Carrier! And yeah, entry is free of charge as well, so one more reason to visit.

This museum provides a very in depth look at how the Norwegian forces have served the country and the world. There is plenty to read and tons of artifacts. If you are a hard core military history buff, you will love it and should dedicate about 4 hours or more. If you have more casual history interests, it's still a good visit and you should allocate about 1 and half hours.

Really enjoyed this place. Soooo much to see. And fun to see weapons you have fired yourself along with 1000 year old ones.

The entrance is FOR FREE and it is a must do. The location is fine, but the surroundings are lovely. The personnel is friendly. Must mention - free bathroom as well. The museum is well equipped, also interactive and you might need a 2 hours to take a good look.

Great museum! Free entry. Pretty big (you can walk around from 1 to 3 hours, depending how much you read), the museum is talking about the Norwegian war history, from Vikings to actual conflicts. Lots of texts, a good part is translated in English. The diffent rooms are built up with good historical references, you feel the mood! Well done, it is a great time to spend here!
