I have been a member at this venue for many years and it has changed names four times. I was very disappointed to find, after months of being closed due to Covid, that all the maintenance issues had not been addressed. Ie Broken locks on two out of four toilets in ladies changing room, warm water in dispenser by pool etc. Now the spa pool is closed today for maintenance at a time when the steam room and sauna are already closed due to restrictions and there are still no newspapers to read. It certainly seems we are getting very poor value for money at the moment.

This is the first time I’ve been to the gym since it became a David Lloyd. Not a huge amount has changed. It’s still too family oriented for anyone who actually cares about fitness. There are kids everywhere. The gym floor is pretty well stocked but lacks in the free weights section and could easily become crowded. The underfloor heating is a nice feature in the changing rooms. The showers are clean and the soap dispensers work. I find it a little creepy that one if the fitness studios can be looked into from the top of the stairs. Not really want one hopes for when doing yoga or body pump. The cafe has improved a lot but is way over priced. The tiny shake I ordered was 4.25 and came with an impossible-to-use straw. Overall, a pretty average gym.

I signed up to the 14 days for 15 and the lady behind the counter couldn't of been more helpful. I expressed my apologies as I hadn't signed any paperwork, they let me enjoy a day at the gym and pool whilst Harry set up my offer. Even when we've gone into teir 4, they've offered to still continue the offer when they are back open! Very pleased with their service!

My first day back at the gym since the easing of lockdown measures. And I have to say the team at David Lloyd have done a great job. Expanding the gym floor to accommodate social distancing without the need to remove or decommission large amounts of kit. Staff and members alike are working together to ensure the rules are followed and hopefully keep everyone safe and the gym open for us all to use. Well done all.

Far too expensive, every visit finds another piece of equipment out of action. Very run down and dirty. Even the local council leisure centre provides a better experience
